Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. Her childhood was spent listening to classical Boleros from the past as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. She began singing and learning music with her mother, and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. As a student and young professional, she was a part of numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She has been involved with a number of local initiatives in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
